A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: Naval Headlines, covering Italian and Spanish activity; the Japanese ambassador in Kuibyshev reports on interviews with Molotov about Soviet assurances on a neutrality pact and the revival of the Soviet Union against Germany, on April 16; from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara on the distribution of the Royal Navy, on April 14; from the Japanese minister in Santiago on Chilean neutrality, on April 11; and from the Japanese minister in Lisbon on Portuguese neutrality and Allied pressures, on April 14.
