Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that the Germans are transporting aviation fuel from Tunis by truck, on April 12; that a dive bomber group in North Africa is to be equipped with new pattern Ju87 aircraft, on April 15; that the German ship Atlas was sunk in the Mediterranean on April 13; on the re-distribution of Flak units in Libya, on April 14; that flying in the Paris area is prohibited with effect from April 13; on German orders of battle with locations on the Moscow Front, on April 12; the Italian minister in Bucharest reports on the morale of Romanian troops in Crimea, on April 8; of an assessment of the situation in Europe from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin on April 5; the Japanese minister in Madrid relays a secret intelligence report on Allied plans for the defence of India, on April 6; the Turkish military attaché in Kuibyshev reports a Japanese assessment of Soviet air strength, on April 9; and the Japanese minister in Saigon reports on a meeting with a French naval commander regarding the requisition of French shipping, on April 11.
