Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that German Air Force (GAF) Africa intend to operate Ju88 aircraft carrying 1800kg bombs, on April 4; that GAF Africa are preparing to use night fighters, on April 7; that GAF units were reprimanded for wastage of fuel through carelessness, on April 8; on the 10th Air Corps' operations for April 8, and that photographic reconnaissance of Alexandria was driven off by the RAF; on the operations of GAF Africa for April 8; that a tactical exercise without troops is to take place in Crete, possibly on April 10; on battle orders from the 4th Air Fleet for April 9 that include 'strangling' the Kerch peninsula and Sevastopol and the destruction of bridges over the Donets; and reports for April 5 from the 4th Army and the 59th Army Corps in the central sector of the Russian Front.
