A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a report of photographic reconnaissance over Alexandria for April 6; that the 10th Air Corps were instructed to search the eastern Mediterranean for the Valiant, missing from Alexandria, on April 6; that the 10th Air Corps was instructed to attack the Queen Elizabeth in Alexandria, on April 6-7; that all available forces of the 10th Air Corps are to be used against the Queen Elizabeth, and cannot support an attack on Gambut, on April 6; on the 10th Air Corps' activities for April 6; that a decision was requested over regulations relating to the German defence of the Dnieper bridges, on April 4; on the intentions of the 8th Air Corps for April 6-7 including attacks on the Kremlin; and a report from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara on Sir Stafford Cripps' mission to India, on April 1.
