Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: an Italian ground forces report of operations and intentions for the night of March 30-31; and a German Air Force (GAF) report and their intentions for April 1; on the Mediterranean: that GAF air transport was delayed because of a British convoy on April 2; and on GAF plans for attacks and reconnaissance of a naval formation on April 1-2; from the Italian minister in Budapest on German-Italian concerns about Romania; and report 102910 to the Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) under C/9118; with a hand-written note by V. C. about the Prime Minister's (PM's) fear that precipitate [bombing] action might arouse German suspicions (see 9106).
