Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance of aerodromes on March 27; a GAF report on equipment for Burckhardt's parachute unit being shipped to Italy, on March 28; on countering of the effectiveness of the RAF, that the GAF are to attack aerodromes rather than other targets, on March 29; on the Mediterranean: ship escorting duties are to be divided between the GAF and Italian Air Force, on March 28; on France: Brest harbour is to be blocked by nets at night, on March 28; on the Russian Front: the Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the GAF orders every measure to protect bridges over the River Dnieper, on March 29; and from the Japanese minister in Stockholm on the German strategy in the Soviet Union, on March 24.
