A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean and North Africa: on Kesselring's operational orders for March 21, for attacks on sea traffic and railways; that the German Air Force (GAF) are unable to escort the Bosforo on March 20; that Kesselring orders the GAF to escort the Bosforo and Saetta en route to Benghazi on March 20; and a GAF reconnaissance report of March 20, describing a British destroyer being torpedoed by a U-boat; on North Africa: on GAF morning reconnaissance of March 20; that the GAF Director of Signals is to visit Libya on March 19; on GAF ops and reconnaissance for March 20; a GAF report on an RAF raid on Martuba on March 20; and a GAF report of photo-reconnaissance in the Suez Canal area on March 20; on the Russian Front: on GAF efforts to prepare aerodromes, on March 19; and that the German naval workshop is very short of fuel; and on Norway: the German naval cruiser the Hipper is moving north on March 20.
