Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: Naval Headlines, covering Italian activity; that the Japanese minister in Santiago is to report on the U.S. labour situation, from March 7; and from the Japanese minister in Berne, on the German reaction to rumours of Japanese efforts to achieve a German-Soviet peace, on March 12.
