Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to prepare to protect a convoy from March 16; that the GAF is to participate in the protection of a convoy on March 19; and that Kesselring orders the main effort be on preventing enemy supply by sea, on March 14; on North Africa: the GAF report an aviation fuel shortage and request air transport of supplies, on March 14; on Norway: that GAF fighter orders suggest a naval movement from Germany to Norway, on March 14; and from the Japanese minister in Lisbon, on an Anglo-U.S. troop build-up in West Africa, from March 6.
