Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following BONIFACE reports: on a statement by Kesselring that reports of British landings at Sirte in North Africa are false and that Rommel should discount them in deciding whether to retire from December 19; of an attack on the German Africa Corps by dive bombers on December 18 and a request from Panzer Group Africa for air attacks on British forces; a report that the first deliveries of French fuel were not expected before Christmas, from December 18; and intelligence that the Soviet forces were pushing the Germans back on the Tula Front and that German forces were weak and without reserves as of December 19.
