Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: on aerodrome servicing units being transferred to Italy to service transport units on December 15; on a British breakthrough at the Gazala position on a 4 km front on December 15; of orders to Panzer Group Africa to withdraw to the Derna position; of an Italian divisional commander's request that all available empty steamships be sent immediately from Tripoli to Benghazi from December 16; a 10th Air Corps report of the Italian belief in an impending British naval action against Derna on December 16; and a list of German fighter aircraft delivered to North Africa between December 6 and 15.
