This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German Air Force (GAF) fuel return of December 10; on the Staff of Panzer Gruppe Africa's planned move on December 10; on the GAF's air drop of supplies to Bardia on December 11; a GAF report that Italian Air Force aviation fuel stocks are sinking from December 11; of GAF plans to send all fuel supplies to Martuba in view of the land situation on December 11; on Italian plans to make a great effort to get supply convoys through by December 14; that there were very low fuel stocks at Tripoli on December 7 and 11; on a GAF attempt to get fuel from Tunis, planned for December 11; on the alarm of the Commander-in-Chief (CinC) South at the fuel shortage and his request for a report on December 11; and a GAF complaint at a ship delivery of the wrong aviation fuel from December 11; on the Moscow Front: that the GAF 8th Air Corps' orders are to take every opportunity to support the 3 Armoured Group's defensive action from December 10; on the GAF's supply difficulties due to a lack of trains on December 10; on the withdrawal of a German corps on December 11; a 51st Army Corps report of a strong Soviet breakthrough in the Klin area, and intentions to withdraw to defensive positions from December 11; a report that Army Group Centre believed the Soviets to have recognised the weakness of German defending forces in the Klin area from December 10; a GAF report and reconnaissance intentions from December 6; a GAF report on a Soviet breakthrough and 2nd Army requests for air support on the Russian Front on December 11; and orders from Hitler to the GAF to take offensive action against U.S. shipping and that of any South American allies from December 11.
