This file includes the following reports: from the Italian ambassador in Bangkok that Japanese troops had taken rights of transit and facilities on December 8; on orders for the 51st Army Corps on the Moscow front from December 10; on an order for the German front line to withdraw on December 10; a German Air Force (GAF) report on heavy Soviet air attacks on December 9; on North Africa: intelligence on a GAF attack on Tobruk on December 11; a report of the death of a German on December 10; a report that a German general at Italian HQ has no communications with German HQ from December 10; on GAF orders on the air route to Derna and the use of Eleusis in connection with night attacks and escorts for ships; on GAF orders for daylight bombing procedures against troops from December 10; that the GAF request deliveries for two fighter groups with no ammunition on December 10; on a demand from the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of the GAF 10th Air Corps for an immediate report of fuel en route to Africa on December 10; intelligence of Kesselring's arrival at Derna on December 11; a report to the GAF AOC 10 Air Corps on fuel being shipped by air; a GAF report that Italian bombers have not operated since December 7 and fighters since December 10 because of a fuel shortage; that the GAF AOC 10th Air Corps orders the delivery of aviation fuel to Derna as stocks for one day's operations remain from December 10; information from the GAF to the Commander-in-Chief (CinC) South that aviation fuel for one day remains on December 10; a report that General Geissler was to return from Africa on December 11; and intelligence that fighter aircraft were en route to North Africa from Crete on December 10.
