Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: of further indications of a move of the 2nd Air Fleet to the area, on December 2; on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) was asked urgently to fly anti aircraft personnel to Derna to replace heavy losses, on December 1; a GAF fuel return for November 30; on anti-aircraft (AA) officer casualties at Derna on December 1; that General Osterkamp is seeking a meeting with the Air Officer Commanding in Chief (AOC in C) through General von Pohl, on December 1; a message from Osterkamp to von Pohl that a delay may be decisive, on December 1; Osterkamp was told that a report can be made in Rome immediately, on December 2; on the strength of German ground forces in the Benghazi area, on November 28; a GAF reconnaissance and operations report to the new Commander in Chief (CinC) South, for December 1; on the Moscow Front: a German report for December 2; and a report that the Germans imposed a ban on Turkish traffic at Bulgarian ports because of congestion, on December 2.
