Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that Tokyo instructed the Japanese ambassador in London to destroy his cypher machine on December 1; from Chungking to the Chinese Embassy in London on Japanese-U.S. talks, on November 30; from the Chinese ambassador in Kuibyshev on the war situation, on December 1; Naval Headlines, reporting on German activity; on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) was asked urgently to fly anti-aircraft gun-barrels to Benghazi on December 2; that Panzer Group Africa places the highest priority on the air transport of armour piercing shells, on December 2; and a GAF operations and reconnaissance report for December 1-2.
