Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of a German Air Force (GAF) urgent request for bomb tenders on November 26; and that naval units are to transport fuel vice anti-aircraft troops on November 26; on the Russian Front: a report of GAF air operations for November 26; a Panzer Group 3 report of November 26; of the GAF's intentions for November 26; a Panzer Group 3 report for the evening of November 26; of the German intentions for November 26; a German report of November 26; a 2nd Army report of November 27; and that German ground forces were warned of the difficulty the GAF have in recognising their own forces, on November 26; on Yugoslavia and Greece: a report for 23 November on military operations; from the Japanese chargé in London, that the British are confident of defeating Germany and advising negotiating with Britain and the U.S., from November 21; the Chinese ambassador in London reported on Japanese-U.S. negotiations, on November 24; the Japanese ambassador in Berlin reported on Franco-German negotiations, on November 21; the Japanese ambassador in Rome reports that the Pope sent a message to Roosevelt about a peaceful settlement with Japan, on November 22; the Mexican ambassador in Berlin reported on German internal unrest, on November 24; and the Turkish ambassador in Kibyshev reported on the probability of a Japanese-U.S. war.
