Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of German Air Force (GAF) measures to counter a possible British break through on November 20-21; of German defence against British sabotage on November 18; on Syria: that the Germans are seeking details of harbours; on the Southern Russian Front: that the 5th Air Corps is to be withdrawn to Belgium in December; on Yugoslavia: a German report of November 18; on Greece: of the Commander in Chief of the GAF on the provision of supply lines, on November 20; on the Russian Front: that a GAF aircraft reporting unit is to transfer to Norway in late November; and GAF operations orders for November 21; on North Africa: a German report for November 18; the GAF continue to request the sending of supply ships to Benghazi on November 20; a GAF request for a damage report after an RAF attack on November 20; an Italian report of a British column heading towards Benghazi on November 20; a report of a GAF order for armed reconnaissance on November 21; and of the GAF passing on an Italian report of British armoured movements on November 20.
