Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: on the 10th Air Corps, strength returns in Greece and North Africa on November 18; that orders for November 19 include preparation for action against sea targets; a report denying knowledge of a submarine attack on Itaka on November 10; that the crew of a crashed British aircraft was rescued from Crete by the RAF on November 2; a report of an RAF raid on German positions in North Africa on November 17; a general situation report on ground conditions; that all cable lines to Derna were destroyed by floods on November 18; of floods destroying equipment, and a shortage of ground staff on November 16 and 17; and that Rommel arrived by air in Derna on November 18.
