Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: of mud causing problems on the Central Front, with motor transport vehicles of a fighter unit stuck for a month and a request for tractors to tow them to Orel, from November 6; that two auxiliary vessels Periton and Aetos, carrying stores for German forces, left Piraeus for Bardia on November 1; that the SS Procida and Maritza, carrying fuel supplies urgently needed by German forces in North Africa, left Naples for Piraeus on November 5; of the intentions of the 10th Air Corps to attack Tobruk and shipping in the Gulf of Suez on November 7; that a photographic mosaic of Tobruk was requested by Panzer Group Africa on November 2; of a request for replacement containers for dropping from aircraft for (Panzer Group Africa), on November 6; and that French and Russian anti-tank guns were urgently required by Panzer Group Africa on November 6.
