Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Russian Central Front: that a German Air Force (GAF) report road to Bryansk was closed on November 1-4; on the Russian fronts: a GAF fighter unit was ordered to move to widespread locations; and a GAF unit is to withdraw to re-equip; on the Central Russian Front: of GAF operation orders for an anti-aircraft (AA) unit on October 30; on the Russian fronts: a German situation report for October 31; on North Africa: the GAF continues its arrangements for shipping fuel to Benghazi via Piraeus; the GAF say transport aircraft on the Brindisi-Derna route are to re-fuel in Crete, from October 27; on the Mediterranean: that the GAF 10th Air Corps seeks further Direction Finding (DF) on the propaganda broadcasting station, on October 27; on German police activities in South Russia; and from the Saudi Arabian minister in Vichy defending himself against an accusation of being anti-British.
