Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: of a possible indication of a move of the 2nd Air Fleet from its location in the central sector of the Russian Front, from October 16; of aviation fuel and bombs being needed in Benghazi on October 20; of anti-tank guns and men returning from leave being flown to Africa from Greece, on October 20; that aviation fuel is urgently needed in Benghazi on October 20; an Italian eastern air sector report that no aviation fuel is left, from October 20; that two convoys from Greece to Africa were given German air cover on October 20; and an instruction from the 10th Air Corps permitting attacks on submarines in the Mediterranean when near Axis convoys, from October 20.
