A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that the advance of the 5th Army Corps was hampered by congested roads; the dispositions and locations of the 5th, 28th, 6th and 13th Army Corps on October 16; a situation report sitrep from the 9th Army in the Rzhev area on October 16; of the intentions of the 1st Panzer on Army October 18 including the occupation of Stalino; 2nd Army reports that many roads are impassable in the Bryansk area on October 14; an 11th Army report of October 16 that Mariupol is to be garrisoned by a Romanian unit; a 1st Panzer Army report that fighting for Taganrog has concluded on October 18; from the 16th Army reporting the extent of the front line north west of Moscow on October 18; from the 8th Air Corps reporting advance points reached in the Kalinin area on October 18; on supply difficulties west of Moscow; and on October 18, that the CIC Africa Corps is to fly to Greece.
