Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: instructions from the Commander-in-Chief (CinC) of the German Air Force (GAF) operational Staff to the 1st Air Fleet and 8th Air Corps, ordering the 8th Air Corps to transfer to the 2nd Air Fleet on September 28; operational targets set for the 1st Air Fleet; a situation report on the south east Poltava area covering the activities of the 9th Infantry Division and 68th Infantry Division; a report that fuel supplies to North Africa are dependent on the return of emptied containers; and an allegation that Italian ships travelling from Italy to Africa are carrying mainly Italian supplies, and the Germans want 50% of the cargo space.
