Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: on General Albert Kesselring's order of the day outlining air force tasks to help fulfil Adolf Hitler's Great Plan; on requests from the 2nd Army for air attacks on a ridge north of Chernigov, and on artillery concentrations; a summary of operations in the Leningrad sector for September 6, sent from the 8th Air Corps to the 1st Airfleet; a 1st Panzer Group report for September 7 reporting the repulse of a Russian counter attack across the River Dnieper; and a report of continued Soviet reconnaissance against the eastern flank of the bridgehead, as well as the capture of Soviet prisoners and documents giving information on the Soviet order of battle.
