This file includes the following reports: on the departure of the steamship Caffaro for Naples from Tripoli carrying two English prisoners on August 29; on the results of a British bombing attack on Tripoli on August 30; that the steamship SS Ossag is to be detained in Benghazi until September 5; the results of photographic reconnaissance of Egyptian aerodromes and railway stations by the Germans on August 31; an evening report for September 19 issued by Fliegerfuehrer Africa; of a request for supplies and reinforcements for units in Africa issued by the German 10th Air Corps on September 1; on continued mopping-up operations in Crete; of 10th Air Corps instructions regarding air protection for supply ships sailing to Greece; on night operations against Port Said by the 10th Air Corps on September 1-2; a report of the intentions of the 10th Air Corps from September 2; of night attacks on Port Said and Tobruk; of German air force requirements for more shipping space for the completion of works in Crete; a report sent to Himmler that the Soviets are retreating and burning villages, which also notes the number of prisoners taken and Jews shot; and a report by the Italian ambassador to Turkey of discussions with Fritz von Papen of Anglo-Soviet action in Iran, and with a Turkish minister, in which approval was sought for the movement of Germans and Italians through Turkey from Iran.
