A report commenting on the recommendations of the review of United Kingdom intelligence organisations by Air Chief-Marshal Sir Douglas Evill in 1947. The report summarises the recommendations made in the Evill report, and comments on the degree to which they had been implemented. In particular, it notes that Evill’s conclusion that there was a need for better central direction and coordination in British intelligence had been adequately met, as had the need for better intelligence gathering about scientific research. The report also notes that there is a general need throughout British intelligence for more clerical staff.
