Kenneth de Courcy: Reports of Slovak Exiles' Radio Broadcasts from Northern Italy

17 May 1946

A file of miscellaneous papers from the early stages of the Cold War. Subjects discussed in this file include the security threat posed by the hiring of Russian servants by British officials; a discussion of the suspicious behaviour of the journalist Kenneth de Courcy, including attempts to curtail his ability to travel abroad, and a sample of his pamphlet Intelligence Digest discussing the British economic crisis; and investigations following a protest by the Czechoslovakian government that the British were sponsoring a wireless station in northern Italy that was broadcasting subversive material to Czechoslovakia, which eventually concluded that there was no British involvement.
