A file of reports and memoranda concerning the BBC Monitoring Service, which produced reports on radio broadcasts in foreign countries. The documents in this file include a report from July 1945, summarising subjects covered in broadcasts from eastern Europe, including the Soviet Union, Poland, Germany, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. These broadcasts cover a number of areas, including internal conditions in these countries, political, industrial and agricultural intelligence and relations between various nations.
