This file includes intercepted Japanese and German diplomatic signals covering a variety of subjects, including Axis support for a coup d’état in Chile, summaries of the political situation in the United States of America, the Soviet Union, and South Africa, and German recommendations for propaganda directed towards America. The file also includes false Japanese reports of indiscretions by British diplomats, including a fight between the British ambassador to Moscow and the Soviet foreign minister Molotov; and internal British memoranda covering liaison with the American intelligence services, and the circulation and restriction of access to classified documents.
