Stockholm: Rickman Case

A file of reports and correspondence concerning to the arrest of two British subjects in Sweden after they were accused of espionage. The documents record the details of the situation, in which the two expatriates had been engaging in propaganda directed towards Germany and were planning to sabotage the export of iron ore to the Germans, which led to their eventual arrest while in possession of explosives. The file also contains a complaint from the Foreign Office about the involvement of the embassy in the case, and allegations that the two men had been set up by German provocateurs.
