A file containing copies in both Swedish and English of a Swedish report on unsuccessful negotiations carried out between representatives of Germany and Great Britain in late August and early September 1939, in an attempt to avert the imminent war. The report describes the process by which meetings were arranged attended by representatives of both governments, including Lord Halifax and Herman Göring; and the failure of these meetings to produce an agreement to avert the war.
