Description

A file of reports and correspondence from the Security Service (MI5) concerning German intentions in 1939. Documents in this file include two reports summarising information received from a source in the entourage of Joachim von Ribbentrop, describing elements of German war strategy, including attacks on the Royal Navy, and the destruction of the British presence in the Mediterranean, along with comments on the reliability of the intelligence by Vernon Kell; and a summary of press reports in The Week covering the international situation and potential anti-Axis alliances.
