Documents in the file include correspondence between the United States of America and United Kingdom governments regarding the Duke’s involvement in Wenner-Gren’s plans for property development near a U.S. naval base in the Bahamas; a report on the activities of Charles Bedaux, a Franco-American collaborator who was a friend of the Windsors; reports of the Duke’s defeatist opinions on the war; and reports and press-cuttings of the Duke’s opinions on a variety of subjects, including the progress of the war.
