Intelligence Priorities Committee Third Meeting

2. CONSTITUTION OF THE COMMITTEE THE COMMITTEE were informed that a reply had now been received from S.H.A.E.F. to the Chairman's letter setting out the proposals for an Anglo-American Combined Intelligence Priorities Committee. S.H.A.E.F. were in general agreement with the proposals and were asking the Combined Chiefs of Staff for their approval. In view of the urgent need to start work immediately, G-2, S.H.A.E.F. considered that American representatives should be appointed provisionally. 'X' THE CHAIRMAN said that it was important to carry on the work of the Committee, even if there should be delay in the appointment of American representatives.
