LIBYA. 7. G.A.F. There has recently been an increase in the scale of night operations by German long range bombers operating from Greek and Libyan bases. The average effort during the past week is estimated at 10-12 sorties a night. The conservative use of the German Air Force in Africa continues. After a period of reduced activity the average effort has increased again to about 150 sorties a day. The maximum effort achieved on any day is not thought to have exceeded 170 sorties. -2-.
