20 Feb 1941

3. 4. 5. German Fighter-Bomber. The introduction of a new twin-engined fighter bomber into the German Air Force first line is to be expected by the end of the year. The type is likely to be the Me. 210 with internal bomb stowage, but it is improbable that re-equipment will exceed one Gruppe (30 aircraft) in 1941. Italian torpedo carrying aircraft. An increase of Italian S. 79 torpedo-carrying aircraft in SARDINIA is expected, bringing the total there to between 35 and 40 aircraft thus equipped. There are indications that the number of Italian torpedo-carrying squadrons in LIBYA will shortly be increased from one to two.
