AEGEAN. 6. The Italian tanker "Albaro" which loaded fuel oil at CONSTANZA and sailed from ISTANBUL for TRIESTE on 8th August, has now returned to VARNA the greater part of her original cargo being undischarged. The reason for the frustration of her voyage to Genoa is stated to be the closing of the CORINTH CANAL by our recent bombing. SWEDEN. 7. The Germans have made a tentative approach to the Swedish Government for a substantial loan to enable them to continue payment for iron ore shipments which cannot be balanced by German coal exports.
