INTERNED FRENCH SHIPS IN TURKEY. 7. The Turkish Government have given full details to the Italian Government of the move of the interned French ships (11 in number) from Alexandretta to the Sea of Marmora. They will be moved in two Turkish escorted convoys, the first of which will leave on 15th August. JAPAN 8. It is estimated that by 6. August approximately 15,000 Japanese troops had landed in Southern Indo-China; of these about 4,000 are believed to have been moved to the Thai (Siamese) Frontier.
