Floods have damaged railway bridges in ROUMANIA over the ARGES near PITESTI and over the TARNAVA MARE near COPSA MICA, thereby interrupting the two main lines from BUCHAREST to JIMBOLIA and from BRASOV to TEIUS. The Germans must be using the only branch lines BRASOV-SIBIU and BRASOV-RAZBOIENI and there must be considerable railway congestion at PLOESTI and BUCHAREST. FRENCH SHIPPING. 10. During the first fortnight of July 29 French vessels totalling 88,628 tons passed Gibraltar eastwards, and 10 totalling 24,608 tons passed westwards, without contraband control.
