BLOCKADE. 7. Approximately 4,000,000 tons of French shipping has arrived at ports in metropolitan France in the first half of 1941 without contraband control. Of this total nearly one million tons passed GIBRALTAR and 54,000 tons reached German occupied ports in France direct. GERMAN COMMODITIES FROM SPAIN. 8. Following upon reports that the Germans are making substantial purchase of Tropical tents and clothing in Spain, it is now known that a service of ten small vessels (probably Spanish) is being arranged by the Supply Organisation of the German Armed Forces in North Africa to ply between Spanish ports and NAPLES.
