MDITERRANEAN. 5. Two French merchant ships totalling 5,613 tons passed GIBRALTAR East-bound p.m. 16th March, escorted by a minesweeper; and two ships totalling 9,151 tons escorted by a destroyer passed West-bound a.m. 17th March. MILITARY. ITALIAN EAST AFRICA. 6. The garrison of BURYE in its retreat to DEBRA MARCOS has had to destroy its M.T. owing to road blocks, and is being harassed on all sides by patriot foroes. Other Italian columns are likewise having their progress slowed down by patriot activities.
