Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee Conference on the Co-Ordination of Far East Intelligence Organisation of Photographic Reconnaissance

1 Sep 1944

AIR VICE MARSHAL INGLIS pointed out that the J.P.R.C. in the United Kingdom, although an Anglo-American body, was responsible to the British Chiefs of Staff, through the J.I.C. The body which it was proposed to set up in Washington must, however, he thought, come under the Combined Intelligence Committee. In some respects the British would gain from the proposal. On the other hand, when our new Mosquitoes with 3,000 mile range shortly came into operation, we would have better resources for very long range reconnaissance than the Americans and, in this respect, could contribute more than they could.
