She may hope by this means to gain some superiority in the air over the North Sea. For really heavy attacks against England, or against our shipping, the establishment of air bases in the Low Countries would, however, be invaluable. In our opinion, therefore, the next German move is likely to be an invasion of Holland as a prelude to an attack on this country. In view of recent reports the Germans are likely to believe that Belgium would not assist Holland and that for this reason, the Dutch might not resist.
