1 Jan 1946

3. We feel that it is desirable in the near future to revise our worldwide survey * of intelligence concerning atomic energy. As soon as sufficient information is available we propose, therefore, to revise our former worldwide survey. In this revision we hope to be able to include more up to date information en the prospects of development in South Africa as well as to assess the effects of the recent leakage in Canada of information on atomic energy. (Signed) H.L.G. BURLTON (Chairman) on behalf of the Committee offices of the Cabinet, and Minister of Defence, S.W.1.
