Policy Towards Sweden

1 Jan 1946

3. We agree that no useful purpose will be served by pressing for the removal of pro-German officers from the Swedish forces, since the Service Attaches are of the opinion that few, if any, of the Senior Officers are antiBritish. 4. We also agree that confidential information supplied to Norway and Denmark will be made available to Sweden owing to the close relations between the three countries. We consider, therefore, that there is nothing to he lost from the security aspect by the inclusion of Sweden in Category 'B'.
