a miscalculation about our intentions. Recent interrogations, in particular that of General Jodl, go to show that in so far as the Germans have come to suspect the existence of any deception at all, it is in the belief that we actually staged divisions in the southeast of England which were ultimately intended for the Normandy operation. (b) It has now been established from a careful study of all the relevant documents that the Battle of Normandy was fought by the Germans largely on the basis of the information supplied by two agents.
