(45) 306 24TH OCTOBER, 1945 CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE JOINT INTELLIGENCE SUB-COMMITTEE PUBLICATION OF SERVICE STATISTICS Note by the Secretary At their meeting+ yesterday, the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee discussed a proposal from the Chancellor of the Exchequer that the normal pre-war relations between Parliament and the Executive should be resumed for the next financial year. This would involve a reversion to the peace time method of presenting the Service Estimates before Parliament.
