ANNEX Extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee held on TUESDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER, 1945 1. INTELLIGENCE ON TUBE ALLOYS THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before then a minute by the Secretary (J.I.C./1275/45 dated 5th September, 1945) covering a memorandum prepared by the Directorate of Tube Alloys concerning the establishment of a combined Anglo-American Intelligence Organisation to cover the field of intelligence concerning Tube Alloys. The minute by the Secretary suggested that there were three alternative procedures for dealing with reports by the Combined Intelligence Section of the Directorate of Tube Alloys:(a) That the Combined Intelligence Section should report to Sir John Anderson, who would decide what circulation such reports should be given in this country; (b) That reports should be sent simultaneously to Sir John Anderson, the Americans and the Joint Scientific Intelligence Committee; and that the J.S.I.C.
