ANNEX PART I ORGANISATION OF INTELLIGENCE IN THE U.K. 1. Since our last report, the future of present and proposed Intelligence organisations in the U.K. has, to some extent, been clarified. In the following paragraphs we report on the present situation and refer to certain matters which still remain to be settled. Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee 2. We recommend that the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee should continue to function in its present role and with its present composition, directly responsible to the Chiefs of Staff Committee and giving advice on request to other Departments and Authorities.
