RESTRICTED Reference provision of Japanese linguists, minimum demands as agreed by S.E.A.C. and India with Sir Theodore Adams in June cannot be met unless Simla can train at least 65 Japanese translators, in accordance with the arrangement agreed by G.H.Q. India with Sir Theodore Adams in May. 2. War Office will probably be able to help provide trainees for Simla as expect new volunteers from British forces in U.K. and Germany will be, as a result of special measures taken to encourage volunteering, in excess of capacity for training in London.
